You named your baby WHAT

My oldest spawn the other day was wondering how he got his name..Just wondered why would choose his name out of all the other "cool" names out there....

Well Early on had decided that I would like to name my kids names that are either Biblical and or presidential....I would never name a child of mine after another person...being family or friend....Hence how 2 got there names..Zachary Noah...(presidential part being Zachary(Taylor) and the Noah from the BIBLE....Makes sense right??...Second spawn Abigail Paige..(Abigail as in(Abigail Adams)..Wife of John Adams..Pagie..Well I did find it somewhere in a Biblical baby name book..At least I am pretty sure....Then we come to my 3rd and final spawn..Emma Kimberli...Well not sure if any fit here..Emma came from the fact I liked it....And it sounded very old...And rustic...I like the old names..In fact she was gonna be Jack if she was a boy..Hence John F Kennedy....But the Kimberi was named after someone..

A cousin of mine who I always looked up to my whole life...Killed herself a few months before I got pregnant...So there went that rule of not naming your kids after anyone..Her kids have some of the strangest names..Skylar(girl) Mylan, and Saige...Can anyone top those?

I would love to hear why you named you kids the names you did..And what they are..Just something kinda fun....If you have no kids...Do you know why your parents named you what they did?...Cant wait to hear..Toodles

Great topic for the day! Colby Grace~

My husband and I did not want to know the sex of the baby. We could not agree on any names boy or girl. After months and months of suggestion from him that were the most God awful names, and after he turned down ever wonderful name I picked out we came to the name Colby. I was 100% sure it was a boy. I just knew in my gut that we would have Colby Hudson (my husbands middle name is Hudson). I agreed on the name but told him if it was a girl I wanted to use the middle name Grace. I also made him agree to use both names if it was a girl. Always calling her Colby Grace. I was shocked to find out that she was a girl! Colby Grace...strange name but I love it!

Well, Max's full name is Maximilian Ethan... Maximilian means "great one" in Latin. I always liked the name Max, and was not crazy about Maxwell. Ethan was our second first name choice, and Mike decided that it would be Max's middle name as I was filling out the birth certificate in the hospital. He flatly refused to name him Maximilian Michael, so I let him pick the middle name.

Chloe's full name is Chloe Susan. Chloe means "blooming flower" in Greek. (I am big on the meanings of the names) It was my girl name since I was 16 years old. It hasn't gotten too popular yet, and I hope it stays that way.

We had the same rule about not naming the kids after anyone, but Mike relented when I suggested Susan for her middle name. Susan was Mike's mom, who died of breast cancer in 1994. She was, quite simply, the most special person I have ever known. She never knew any of her grandchildren, and that makes me so sad. It was natural to name Chloe after her, it seemed right.

Great topic!

Hi great blog!
I named my boys the only name I could find that either 2)didn't irritate me or b) I knew someone with that name that I didn't like....
Zachary Joseph (Joseph after his father & grdfather) and Alex Devin (Devin after my brother because I have always LOVED his name)
Keep in mind both times I got prego, I had a TON of girls names I LOVED, but just never got to put them to good use

Grace Elizabeth was just a name that Ryan and I just loved from the word go. It's not after anybody, but we had to have it. My name isn't after anybody either. Everyone else in my family got named after people. My oldest sister, Kelly, was named after a game show lady...haha...my twin brothers, Larry & Gary were after my uncle and dad, and my little sister's, Heather, middle name is Sidonia after my grandma (they called her Sally) that has passed.

If we have another girl, we want Emma Rose, just because we love that name too :)

I chose my kids names from the Bible--Faith Elizabeth and Elijah Thomas. Thomas is my Dad's first name. My husband actually suggested Elijah and since he does not have much say in things ::)) I was like--OK.

Well I am Gina Marie. My parents were fighting over what to name me. My mom wanted to name me Noel but my dad didn't want any part of that and my dad wanted to name me Kara or Tessa. Well my mom didn't want anything to do with that. So finally they tried to find a neutral name. So I ended up Gina Marie. I wasn't named after anyone. I was just named because my parents couldn't agree on the names they really liked.

Somehow I think that it worked out though. I mean I am Italian so the name fits. Also, I think there are few Ginas in the world...so why not have a somewhat rare name?

My boyfriend and I were talking baby names and well...for boys I like the names Christian, Alec, and Elijah. Of course Paul (my boyfriend) said that he would never name his kids those things if we got married. So we just for kicks decided to pick names...so we decided for guys it would be Ethan (he says that it's a strong name and likes it) and Vincent (it's very Italian for me and he thinks it's a nice strong name) and for girls it would be Emma (named after my best friend Emily...it's her nickname...I didn't like Emily sounded too proper) and Summer (I hate that name but I figured I would give it to him because he was so excited).

So that sums up this really long comment. LOL!

Here's your ??s Christina:
1)If stranded on an island, what 2 CELEBRITY's would you want there with you??
2)What is your favorite thing to do when you have 'alone' time?
3)If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
4)What is one thing that you hope to accomplish in the future?
5)What is the one thing that you simply can NOT live without?

My oldest is Gary Lee Jr., which incidentally was my divorce lawyers name also. Youngest, Nigel (John Lennon poem, or so my husband said) Benjamin (as in Franklin). Yes, I'm lame.
