OK maybe I am over thinking this. Maybe I spend too much time watching children's programming..But why does nearly every kids show make adults seem like horses as$(I mean rears)...????...I have many examples I am going to talk about..I will start with the ever popular The Wiggles..Now you all no I love them..Especially the blue one..All that aside , for those of you parents with the unforunate viewing of such shows you will get what I mean..
For isntances when Jeff.(the purple Asian wiggle) is in the middle of working.the buttwipe falls asleep..The guy can not hold down a job with out his fellow wiggle comrades waking him up 5 or 6 times during a show..What is that teaching kids anyway?
I will now move on to the very weird and disturbing show The Doodlebops..So much to say about this one..But I am only going to bring up 2 points..First of all they are always losing Moe..Fire him if he keeps getting lost..Man...Second they have a song about getting on the bus.."Get on the bus..Lets get on the bus"...They should be telling kids to NEVER get on the bus unless it is their school bus..I mean there bus looks like something out of a bad scooby doo trip or maybe the Greatful Dead tour bus..Not sure...
Now I am gonna to move on to Blues Clues..What grown man sits around his house all day taking orders from his dog...And the fact he can never see the clues is what gets me..We teach kids that adults never need help from them..So if a stranger approaches and asks you to help find his lost puppy..YOU RUN...But yet Joe is always asking the kids for help finding clues that are right under his nose....Makes adults look very uneducated..Like maybe they can not be trusted if they have no idea how to do do the simplest tasks...
I will say I have analyzes sesame Street many a time...And I have only found one flaw..And that is the way cookie M0nster speaks.."Me want cookie"..."Me don't know what to do"...at least have them use proper English..And the adults are actually smart on that show..THEY NO STUFF....
Maybe I am looking way too much into this...I find myself watching these shows even when the baby is napping....Weird I know..I just find it absolutely amazing..I am going to come out with a concept to a real program for kids...Gonna make a load that way....I need money for my lipo remeber and all my other attempts have failed miserably.....Well the baby has takes her diaper off and wandering around with no pants on...She could pee on my floor at anytime..Later gators..TOODLES

I was always a fan of Seasame Street when I was younger. I loved Big Bird and the Cookie Monster. What can I say "C is for cookie and it's good enough for me."
ANYWAY, I don't really like a lot of the kids shows that are on now. I guess I'm just too much of a believer in Seasame Street that I block all other kiddie shows out.
English student, I was always a fan of seasme steet..still am.my heart is with Mr.Rodgers though..loved it..still do..
Jaws, veggie tales are ok..again..I go nuts..we had to listen to one of the cds in the car on the way home from Michigan, can we say yikes..lol
Gab,
yes very true about the speech thing..I totally agree with that..big time...Teletubbies are not a show we ever watch..but some of the others are jusr as bad..I like putting the shows on when I want to get the dishes done..or get laundry done..keeps them out of trouble...But you must monitor and make sure you child doesnt just sit and veg there all day
I agree that the shows that you mentioned do have their "annoying" points. Now, regarding Joe and Steve, I think that they are portrayed as big kids not so adult. Especially, Joe--his expressions are really like a clueless child.
But, overall, I do not feel too qualified to comment since at our house, you might hear Mommy say, "I can't see. Scoot over. I'm missing the show!" ::))
