Run away,,run far away..Hey wait..I am not allowed to cross the road

Ok now that I got my pitty post out of the way this morning I thought I would get back to old style and add a witty and amusing story from the past,,I know how you love those..LOL

When I was about 6 I had decided it was time to get my own place. My parents were just way too Bossy and would not let me live my life...I had to obey the rules, go to school, do my chores..ya no stuff that every kid hates...
One day I had enough, I told my mom I was leaving..Running away and she would never see the likes of me ever again..I stomped upstairs and packed my little brown suitcase..I packed only the necessities to live on..Such as towels, barbeis, doll clothes, and I think my Michael Jackson microphone...

I head down the steps and am headed out the door...I swing open the front door and run down the steps...I am free..I am finally moving out, getting on with my life..
As I walk down the side walk to the corner..Something hits me...I am not allowed to cross the street..Crap how the heck am I gonna get my own place if I can not cross the road?..That posed a problem..I walked from corner to corner pondering how to get around this problem...I must have walked up and down my street for close to an hour..I knew if I were to cross the road I would be spanked..But I am running away..So how would she know...Well my mom seemed to me at the time to know everything..She would find out..She would find my new home and walk right in and spank me..I just knew it...

Well to avoid all the drama I decided I better just stay at her place...When I walked in the door my mom asked why I didn't run away, I told her that was I was not allowed to cross the street..So I would wait a few more years....I think that was for the best..Not sure how I would of acquired my milk money if not for living there.....

I know one of these days one of my kids will try and run away...I just hope they are better packers than I was..:)...Toodles

Doubtful, I remember putting my lamp of the clown holding the big plastic balloons in my little toy shopping cart. I made it as far as the hall to our apartment building.

I did not try this also. I was sure my mother would immediately change the locks for even THINKING of running away.
