Ikea...spa party...viruses

Ok so IKEA was not all that I thought it would be..I forget who commented about the qaulity of the products there..but I must say the furniture looked and little.."chinsy"....This store is much too big for me, and I did not enjoy myslef..Although I did get a nice centerpiece for my new table..So that is a plus..But I dont think I will be making a venture to IKEA anytime soon...

On a side note, I made an obesrvation the other day..I had to go to Walmart for paint..Target does not sell it...But I notice the quality of the people you find at Walmart is kinda like the quality of the stuff they sell..I mean no disrepect to any of you Walmart shoppers...But I see some pretty wierd/dirty folks roaming the allyes of Walmart...Now I am sure Walmart serves its purpose..heck I went in to buy paint..But that is where my walmart reltionship ends...Now when you walk into a Target, the folks you see are neat , clean, quiet, polite, and did I say clean??..lol..Ok I am sorry if I offened anyone..maybe its just this Walmart:)

I think my puter has a virus...I can not do more than one thing at a time..so if any of you notice i am not commneting...its because i cant..I cant even do spell check for God,s sake...So I am reading everyones blogs..and I am commneting on the ones I can..so please forgive me for not making my normal useless comments..I need to buy a new virus scan thing..

I went to a spa party Monday..the pastor,s wife was having one and invited me...It was fun...Got a facial and a foot thing done...It was nice..

I am slowly getting my painting done..I need to finish up today..My table comes tomorw..I sooooo can not wait..

Here is a funny ditty I will leave you with..( I dont have much good to post about so I will give you one of my famous childhood dittys)...

Not really childhood...but late teens I will say...My mom had these tickets to some thing at The Palace of Auburn Hills ...And some NFL players and basketball players were there....This was 1992..I was 17 years old..I did not want to go.but did...anyway..we say Vinnie Johnson (played for the pistons) and this NFL guy who once played for The Lions..his name was Willie Green...I got his autograph...and he asked for my phone number..:)

I did not give it to him, but he did ask!!!...LOL...can anyone beat that??..and I have no idea if he even plays football anymore..I never heard of him since:)

I suppose it depends on which Walmart you're in, but some of them I've been in have been trashy. Some I have watched trashed in front of me. People would pull stuff out to look at and just drop it on the floor. Makes me want to slap their Mothers.
Good luck on the decorating. Please don't mention painting to my Wife. She doesn't need any more ideas.
btw your comments are looked forward to,,, not useless.

Miss. Comments. heehee :)

I met some famous athletes. Got close to a few (close in proximity). But, can hardly remember their names. Saw Shaq from a few feet. And, well. He is truly a giant! :)

Can't wait for pics on the dining room. Take care.

It totally depends on the walmart. There is one in one town close to where I live that i have boycotted cause it is so nasty. there is another that is nice and have nice workers. but I think you are right, Target has a much better overall appeal. Do you have a super target by you? We don't have one, but i wish we did! I have never been to Ikea but everyone I know raves about the one in Chicago.

As far as your NFL story, I think going with Michael Jackson to the Grammy's may have outdid that one :). No really, that is cute!!

The Wal Mart/Target difference isn't really prevalent here. Good story about the NFL guy. I had an NFL player from our home town try to get me to go riding in his new car. I was only 16. No go. I don't think he had a very successful career though.

The target walmart thing is deffinantly true around here. Its almost like Walmart is the new circus sideshow. I have seriously thought about visiting our local walmart with my camera just for intersting image fodder. Target is much nicer.

I've never been asked for my phone number by a pro athlete but Ashton Kutcher and The Rock both heard about how I dropped my drawers at a local amusement park when I was 12. I thought the locker area was the changing room and of course all my buddies were watching. Big mistake.

Gab, well i think you need to be a senoir citzen...but hell if your face is greeting me..it will be all worth it..lol

lumpy, funny you should say that..i was wanting to do the same thing..to prove my theroy to all the world..but i dont have a camrea phone and i am afraid it would be too obvious if i go in with my camrea..lol

i agree with the walmart coomect- ever notice the employees at target are cleaner, and even more friendlier?? that happens with grocery stores here too- the cheaper ones have the carts with the broken wheels..lol and the fruit is unwashed, halfway rotted..i could go on and on.

don't say bad things about IKEA. I could never maintain my candle habit without it...

Go Lions! LOL. Maybe that is their problem, asking for girls phone numbers when they should be worrying about the game! LOL!!!

And Walmart? I'm not allowed to shop there...its none union and being hubby is a union worker, well, he bans me from it. Me, I've been there a few times anyhow, and geez, I just can't deal with the rude people at the one by me!!!!

I don't know what that dude looks like but you were 17 and didn't give a famous athlete your phone number!? Are you crazy? LOL.

And not enjoying IKEA? I don't know if we can be friends... ROFL.

As for WalMart vs. Target shoppers - I have witnessed this, and infact, if I ever venture to Target (rarely since it's too expensive for me. ROFLMAO) - I make sure I'm dressed neatly so I don't stand out. When I go to Wal-Mart I'm like, whatever. ROFL. So there's your evidence!

Kristen, I am not saying anything bad per say..I liked the odds and ends..as I said I got a cool center piece for my new table..lol

Peanutt..lol..any excuse is a good excuse to avoid walmart..;)

Tee, your busting me up over here..I know i could be a wealthy woman now..or else living on skid row..not sure what ever came of him..lol

and thank you for proving my point..your the best:)

Our Walmart sucks too - it's gotten my $$ only for a child's place-mat thingy and a vacuum cleaner (thank goodness Target's just across the street!)

BTW... I JUST ABOUT DIED MYSELF when I read your recent post about your son's first (we hope) kiss! GO HOME LITTLE GIRL! GO HOME!
