it exercises your wibs

Covert spy spawn got out her hoola hoop last night. she brought it upstairs to practice. Mind you she is not that good, but she is getting better. When Kissing Spy spawn saw her trying her damnest to hoola, he took it and did his buisness. and my gosh...my son is one hell of a hoola hooper...I was shocked, I mean this boy can get 'er goin'....I was dumbfounded .

They took turns hoola hooping, and covert spy says " momma this is good excersie isnt it?" I told her " yes baby, very good"....

Then she tells me it is good excerise for your wibs....I told her, yes your wibs get a good workout:)

So the funny thing is, hubby tried doing it. He picked up the hoop and tried to get it going. Needless to say it wasnt happening. He then took his sweatshirt off thinking that was his problem. so there he is all bare chested, twisitng his torso, and moving his rump.

He then tells covert spy spawn to get her brother, so he could show him how to move. so then I have my son trying to teach the hubby how to hoola hoop, all the while baby spawn is yelling " oola hoops, oola hoops".....she wanted a turn, and it was pricelss watching her try and get it going, but she is just too small. Then she threw it to me and said " your turn momma..you hoops".....um yeah like that will happen.

I just could not get enough of watching hubby try and hoola hoop, I thought watching him cross stich was bad, but you have seen unbeilevable humor till you have seen your hubby get his groove on hooping...and failng misreably...

And then when he did mange to get it going, for a brief second...he yells.." did you see me, did you see me, I did it"...

Oh hell, now I have to witness him hulla hooping like a big boy, heaven help me.

Ok so I call a realetor back in the homeland. she tell me houses there are not selling, and she has had one for sale over 3 years. crap, thanks for the confindence booster, you baiscally just told me you can not sell my home.....i might as well just hand it over to the bank now.

But her point was that the city has rasied its water bill so much , no one can afford to live there, and plus the gas has went up. But she is going to list and see what she can do. If it doesnt sell, we are so screwd....I may have to go out and get the dreaded J word...Yup a job.

So I am hoping this resolves itself soon.

I was just watching some show on VH-1...it was about the 80,s. And I had a flash back. They showed this thing called the "fashion plate"....It was a thing where you could scetch your own picutres by switching the plates and then taking a pencil or crayon over top of it.....anyone remeber those?..I am gonna try and find a picture...I had one and it was like my favorite thing...I had forgot all about them till tonight:-)

whewww...found a picture...remember these....ahh, memories.

Good times..Good times....I thought for sure I was going to end up being some cool fashion desgner making my awsome dresses with the big ole shoulder pads and the the poofy pants........I had a very good eye for fashion back then..LOL......

If they still made those today, I would own one..no doubt about it:-)

Well have a good Tuesday, I babysit today...Oh yeah, the fun we will have.

Toodles

I could hoola hoop- haven't tried for years... lol

I loved the fashion plates, my older sister had them - and would never let me play with them. I think Santa screwed up that year, I got a damn barbie head thing (to style the hair and make-up)- and she got the fashion plates...

That is too funny. And, I remember Fashion Plates--I used one but I don't know whose. I didn't own one myself. :)

you can probably find one of those sketch things on ebay :). I remember those. they were nifty groovy. now the kids have them where they have a projector and it shines down with a picture to trace. The technology sure has changed. I can't hoola to save my butt :). I wish I could, then I could do that for exercise myself, ha!

LOL about the hoola hooping. We have one of those torture devices in the garage and every now and then one of the kids will pull it out and subject us all to it. I can still do it but it really isn't pretty!
I used to have the fashion plate set and was going to set the fashion world ablaze with my designs! LOL DD actually got one several years ago and didn't play with it at all! :(
Can you put another renter in the house? A home that is lived in sells a lot better than an empty one. New construction is my enemy right now, it is harder to sell our listings when people are building so much! Good Luck!

denise, i would of took some pics..but i was on the treadmill at the time..and i think he would of busted my crappy camera..LOL

Misty, that is where i found that picture...LOL...

I know, people build new homes, than cant afford them , then sell them..makes no sence to me:)

Heahther, well i know i can out hoola mine..so i guess that is good..but my son can out hoola me..

Beth, u likey?...wanna come for a sit on my beach??? if i had some fashion plates I could have ya'll over and we could color them on my beachfront property:)

Dottie, well i am not sure if anyone is in the renting market..no one is buying or renting there...sucks...

fashion plates rock:)

I can't hula hoop either and this summer I got to see my husband try. LOL... You'd think as adults who... ahem... can make similar motions...*blush*, we should be able to. LOL.

My 7 year old can do it really well. It's hilarious to watch him.

I watched the 80's show on VH1 last night too. (Did you get your 3D glasses at Blockbuster? I forgot and now it's so rainy I don't want to go out.) ... When I saw the fashion plates I was soooo excited. I miss those!

Those shows are so funny though. Love it. Can't wait until they get to the mid to late 80's.

Good luck with the house. We worry about if we want to sell this house someday too. Our last house was in an extrememly desirable location and we had no problem. This one may not be as easy.

oh funny!! My son can hula hoop like a pro and he is barely 9!!! I suck at it!! I had fashion plates, loved em. Wow what a blast from the past. I grew up and went to Fashion Design School. Do not do that now though.

I've got a spare hour. Whew!
Hoola hoops are great exercise and I can't do them as easily as I did as a kid. Instead, I just need to hula dance.

I had fashion plates...loved them.

My 18 year old daughter had a set of Little Mermaid ones and they were great.

My husband still has his "boy" fashion plates....they are hot rod vans! It is so funny.

We bought a new set of Barbie plates not too long ago but they aren't the same quality.

Old toys are SO much better.

(Im on a personal rant this week against crappy products)
