well I had a very dissapointing Halloween. It just is not the same as when I was a kid. Not many homes had thier lights on, and there were not many kids out trick or treating. The streets were mostly bare. Not sure why. But it was kind of dissapointing. The kids had fun though.
We left around 5:10, and walked for what seemed like forever. We finally make it back home, I look at the clock, and its freaking 5:45.....We were gone all of 45 minutes. But they did make a haul...Baby spawn was so funny, she cant say trick or treat that well, but she would say " tank you" everytime a piece of the heavenly sugar concotion was placed in her little pumpkin. She knew...I only hope she does not think we are doing this again tommorw night...This was her first time acctaully trick or treating. I have dressed her up before, but never let her get candy because I thought she was too little.
Hubby leaves this morning for Pittsburg for a few days, so it will just be me and the spawns. Oh what fun we will have. I hope I live to tell about it..

i agree with you there- there were so many houses with decked out yards and no candy- like you commented- i hate that!
i remember as kids me and my sis would come back with tons and tons of candy- and that was in just apt buildings...even the meanies that didn't want to be bothered would leave bowls of candy outside their door. oh well, i guess we'll be savin on dentist bills in the future. :)

We did well over here. A lot of houses were lit up where we went so it was nice and with the two of them going out tonight, we got double the candy in less time.
I have to say that I am really tired after all this walking around, after a long day of work.

Angie, tank you..LOL...and after my last computer crash last week all my email has been wiped out..as your number too..but i now have both computers working up to speed..if u send me an email with it will promise i will write it odnw somwhere, and u do the same..LOL ( man we are getting old, cant remeber to write stuff down)
Really great pictures. My husband just brought candy home tonight for us to pass out--I didn't want the stuff in the house until I had to have it. Anyway, we only passed out a little. So, we will have lollipops for a year. Not really--I love lollipops and I hate to suck them. So they won't last us long. :)
marel,the candy the hubbby gets is stuff only he will eat,,so he will have it gone by weeks end,,LOL
Looks like the kids had fun, even if the unstructuredness (is that even a word? Ahhh well! Is now! lol) made you a bit nervous! lol And they all look fantastic!!! I can remember doing the clasic "white sheet with two eye holes" for Halloween! The good times!! I wish things were still more simple and not so commercial!!

melis, that is a halloween rule here, they can not go commcrail..the kids hate that rule;;lol//so they are stuck being crap i assiagened and that wouodnt be pretty..LOL

It was the same way here too...not many kids and even fewer lights on. Your kids look great - I'm glad they had a good time.
jewl, yes the flood is over..we had tree roots growing in the pipe..uggg...so now its all fixed..
and I know you know all about not having hubby home...i still cant get your commnet box to open..doube uggg!!

Your spawns look adorable! Halloween as a parent is such a let down isn't it! LOL I remember we would come back with HUGE bags of candy, it just doesn't seem like the kids get that much anymore. Which is probably a good thing! LOL
