Eating dinner...For breakfast...What?

As of late my girl has been very picky with her food..At one time this baby would eat anything(remind you she WILL eat dog food). The last couple times at dinner when I give her a plate, she will put her hands over her face and cry out "NO"..Like this was not what she wanted..Then when I take her plate away because she is playing in the food or throwing pieces to the dog..She cries and reaches for it back like she wants to eat it...So I don't know what to do with her...

And it reminded me of when I was little, my parents would once in a while spend a weekend at my moms grandparents house..Which was near Detroit..They lived in a wonderful house in the country with a pond..And you could always hear frogs croaking..Huge yard..Beautiful gardens..
When we ate there...If I had put too much on my plate and could not eat the rest...Grandpa would make me eat it for breakfast the next morning..YUCK..But that is the way he was..A very strict man...Wonderful cook..Made everything homemade..And in the morning when he had made homemade blueberry pancakes or banana pancakes..I had to eat my dinner from the night before..Before I could have any...It sucked..It only happen a few times because I learned to not put much on my plate anymore..
Maybe that is what I need to do with these kids...They think they can waste food..Maybe if they have to eat the same meal for breakfast , lunch and dinner till its gone...It will change their ways..:)

Still no sitting of my tortoise...Kind bummed about that..If anyone sees him please let me know.!!..There is my tale for the day...Enjoy..Toodles

The dread of my life--mealtimes. I am waiting for the better times to come round. The only better time that I have right now is when the husband comes home to take over dinner. I can't stand wasted food also. Thoughts to blog coming to my mind . . . Hang in there. We're with you, Girl!

Hey, In my house Mackenzie will save the rest of her supper so she can eat it for breakfast.
She loves to eat any leftover food for breakfast. I will ask her what she wants and she will ask me if there are any leftovers for supper cause thats what she'll eat.
So I say whatever floats your boat.

My kids do the same thing!!! I think I'll take the little trick of feeding them their leftover dinner for breakfast! It just might do the trick!

I have made Max and Chloe eat their leftover breakfasts for lunch, and leftover lunches for dinner before. I hate wasting food. Does that make me mean?? I've never made them eat anything from the day before, though.

that making them eat leftovers for subsequent meals if friggin' awesome! Unless they are like my tequila chicken and actually taste better the next day. I never would have thought of it. Of course, as the original picky eater, I had to at least try everything on my plate so there I would be, 2 hours later, sitting at the dinner table. The great holdout. Until the threat of a spanking. When I ate. What a colossal waste of my time as a 3 year old. I am TOTALLY going to torture E when he gets older.
