So by request of suzie I took a picture of under my sofa cushion....Let me start by saying, this does in by no means reflect what my house looks like, at least I hope to God not..
I will identify some objects I noted in the midst of the mess...I see a pair of socks, a plastic bag a newspaper came in, a sippy cup in the back left corner, and a little tiny Dora doll in the back their in the middle, note her pink shirt and blue shorts....
Yes, this would make you think I am a slob, which may not be far from the truth....And the really sad thing is....After I took the cushions off to snap this Kodak moment, I did not clean it out, rather I just put the cousins back on..
I will now show you another photo of why I am a big fat loser.....I took the lights and ornaments off my tree on New years day, but we have negected to do the " actual removal of the dead tree from my dwelling"

Meltdown spawn got grounded Monday. He is grounded for 3 days to his room. This may seem like torture for a young lad, but he was getting a bit out of hand with his out in public behavior, so I put my foot down.
After a few hours I hear him fidgeting in the bathroom, I ask him what he was doing and he told me to come in there...
The boy cleaned the bathroom.
So I told him that since he did such a good job with that, that maybe he should think about cleaning his room as he has 3 whole days to sit in there, and he might as well sit in a clean room afterall.
After an hour he calls me in there.
The room is clean, even under the bed.
I tell him he did a good job.
ME: " ok, this looks good, I am proud of you, but your still grounded"
HIM: " dang it, why cant we all get along? It is Martin Luther King day for petes sake"

you see, my son is a perfect angel at home, but you get him out in public and he is a monster, only as of late...my mom took him to the landry mat today and I guess he was a little hyper, and wouldnt listen, and he acts this way in sunday school too..I am not sure whats wrong with that kid..
oh no, so I had the grossest couch? I am honored..I have 3 small kids who put crap under there when they are too lazy to put it where it belongs..haha

I was just rollin over your sons attempts at getting ungrounded. But I've gotta tell ya... I'm the BIGGEST pushover when it comes to making groundings stick. Even when hubby grounds those kids they know all the have to do is come downstairs on their own and "sincerely appologize" for what they've done, and Mom will "make him" unground them! LOL Oh yeah! They've got me WRAPPED!!! lmao This is going to change... unknown to THEM! lol Great post girly! And you know that tons of good vibes coming your way for tomorrow!
LOL! I got new couches this year from hubby so right now, mine are clean b/c I'm obsessive that way...but check in a year or two and goodness knows what you will find!:)
LOL about Meltdown spawn. My boys are the opposite....perfect kids in public but lunatics at home. There just is no balance I guess!

Your son has wisdom beyond his years, too bad his Mommy had way more and has been there done that so she aint falling for it :)> yes, let us know about your daughter ok. Your couch isn't that bad, it is all kid stuff, which means, it isn't your fault :). I just cleaned mine out because whenever our niece stays with us, she always takes the cushions off the couch and sleeps on the floor in our sons room or wherever she doesn't have to be alone :).

It looks like my sofa!! I am a stickler for being clean on the outside, but if you check my cushions or run a finger along my bookcase or something, you would probably be disgusted by me too!! lol
And with your son, lol, that is so funny "can't we all just get along??" lol sounds like something my daughter would say. She would also be the one to try to get out of a grounding by doing good deeds!! But I also try to stick with the punishment because she walks all over us as it is, that's one thing I will not budge on!! Good job!! lol

Good job holding your ground with MDS. Perhaps you need my Brad around to help you with the tree. The one year I bought a tree, I went to work New Years day I came home and it was gone. He hated it. Good luck at the Dr.s today.
