Gold Dust Woman

I have learned something over this weekend..

My mothering skills are that of a rabid coon...and I dont mind so much, really I dont.

I have been at this "mothering" thing 4 damn near 11 years now, and I know the ins and outs of a lot of it...And the other crap, I just dont give a rip about..but you'll have that.

they all said things over this weekend that made me wonder where I went wrong..

Blondie told me when she grows up she wants to be a greeter at Walmart because..

it looks easy enough..

Boo told me she wishes Oprah lived in our house because..

she is smart, has pretty hair, and knows dr oz.

(her and the boy think dr oz is the end all and be all of the tv medical commuinty)

And my boy ....we are at church and its commuinion...the pastor says something about bread and wine, and my boy says..

good, im glad we are having wine, I am sooo thirsty.

I think my work speaks for itself...my parenting resume is that of Brittiny...only I cant get anyone to take mine away.

I think my work here is done.

FF: You are being way too hard on yourself. I KNOW you are a great mom!! I can just tell!

All those comments from your kids sound perfectly normal to me!! Kids DO say the darndest things!

I hope you are feeling better these days, and getting back to your old feisty self.

Got to see my grandsons today!! Sammy and Zachary! It was great fun!

Love,
Ma Linda

Butch reminds me of the time I went through the Bible story of the last supper and explained the process of communion to Thing 3 (kids are allowed to take communion at parents' discretion in our church). After we partook of the sacraments, she announced at the top of her lungs "That was a good snack!"

I would never be a greeter at Walmart just because it would be too damn cold in the winter. I would much rather be a cashier.

You'll never get the Brittney life time achievment award until you start using one of you kids for an airbag while you're driving.

I am so glad to know I am not the only mother that feels that way. Kids can drive you to drink. David often tells me how much I suck ar being a Mom :)

Naw, you got nothing in common with what's-her-name. Compared to her, you should get Mother of the Year.
I should know - I taught her everything I knew about raising babies and that didn't take very long. (okay, not really)

SS,
I think its your week 2 take him..I have his bags packed..

Krazymom,
glad 2 be of serivce..

cliff is a card, i cant wait 2 meet him in July.

Janell,
ask my boy who should win mother of the year....I am sure my name wont come up..

Eh, kid's can be dorks. I've raised mine, working on a grandson, have friends who have raised em.

That's one thing that's for sure.
Not death. Not taxes.
But the knowledge that no matter how well you are doing with them, they will be dorkish.

Rock on.

you know there are days when I think being the greeter at wal-mart would be better than what I'm doing - at least I'd get "health insurance" and a discount... or something like that.

Patti,
thats pushing it;)

Diva,
very true....kids are dorks, no matter how hard u try, they are going to be dorky..

fantstagirl,
well, u have a point there...
