This is a reoccuring nightmare I have..I am driving on a bridge and I end up in the water..

Ever since I was a kid..

All I can say is I better be able to get home Sunday...If this in anyway hinders my road trip back to the homeland, a strongly worded letter will be written to God..

I would rather die in a drunken hot tub accident.

Bridges are scary and hot tubs are hot.

words to live by.

So, I'm glad you weren't on the bridge.
I've carefully kept up with the hot tub activities. Thanks for not showing us all of the really good stuff.
And a final question. Are you still married and do you have a home?

I was worried you and the crew were headed back to the homeland when that happened. I was praying you weren't on that sucker when it collapsed. Thank goodness you were not!

The freaky part about it was yesterday I was in the car with my mom on a a small little overpass that went over a major highway....my car was literally bouncing up and down because the overpass was moving because of the cars on it. It was so scary. I kept picturing the whole thing cracking in half and our cars falling into the middle of I-75. Then I saw this crap on the news last...makes me never ever want to go over another bridge. Freaked me out.

I'm scared of bridges also. I'm always scared of being ran off the side and drowning.

I hope you have a safe trip home.

I thought of you when I heard about the bridge. I hope that this doesn't make your trip back too awful.

Chels,
isnt it weird how u think about something then BAM it happens somehwere else?

It has happend to me before too..weird.

I told Hubby we are not going thru the UP on the way home as goin g over the Mackinaw Bridge gives me heart palpations...for good reason.

Patty cake,
what is it about bridges?..ever since I was a kid I hated them..espeacilly ones over water..YIKES.

Working mom,
me too..me too..

karin,
well I dont think it will hinder our trip back..its very sad though, i do feel awful about it, but on the other hand, I am gonna be pissed if it slows my trip home up...

I hope Mr. Shaky isn't flying NW..I'm in the airline industry as you know and I will never fly NW...I can tell you stories....
I freak out more about going over the side...The Chesapeake Bridge to Annapolis goes like 200ft over the water with a 3 FOOT FLIMSY GUAURD RAIL into the water far below..and on a windy day when the steering wheel pulls and you are doing 65 in a 45 to keep up...I'll stop now...

Oh yeah if you saw/see a Continental painted prop job at Detroit Metro...it was the flight I was working!

Nope- no more bridges for me either. There is a small bridge over the highway here that shakes everytime you go over it. I drive way out of my way to avoid the panic!

Have a safe trip home!

I'm just so glad you're ok! My brother-in-law lives in the cities, and we were scared to death until we heard from him!

On a happy note-- hoping your summer has been a good one! *hugs and love*

Must have been horrible for those on the bridge when it happened. My sympathy goes out for the families who lost loved ones, and for those who are in hospital recovering.
Take care on your drive home.

I thought of you and Gette when I heard about it... actually, I about puked when I heard about it as my duaghter and I were on it about an hour before it went down. We were on that thing twice that day.

It's funnier then spit that your Dad still tells you to use your indoor voice.

Have a safe trip Sunday

I nearly got the runs when I saw the video from the bridge tumbling down... there's a huge bridge right by where I live and it has had cracks in it since God knows how long... and yeah, last time I was on that bridge was definitively the last time I was on that bridge!

Oh, hot tub! Room for one more? :D

What a freak, freak thing...I'm just surprised there weren't more deaths, frankly. I'm thankful but surprised being that it was at rushhour and all. (whew)
