I had forgot to mention that Sunday I colored my hair. I am trying to get it back to its original color, which is like a light ashy blonde flavor. I have been sporting a dark brunette for over a year now, and just ready to get back to my normal self.
Anyhoo, I picked up the lightest blonde I could find as I know it will take a lot to cover up the dark. Well to make a long story short, my roots are brite blonde and the rest is a darker strawberry blonde. I am what you may call two tone...Then last week while I was tanning I got raccoon eyes so I was doubly two tone.
Well yesterday I completed my hideous makeover transformation. When I was shaping my eyebrows I was not paying attention. I took way too much off the right brow, and I could not get the left one to even look halfway close. So it looks like I am wide awake on one side, and a total freak job on the other side..
I am a two toned, freaky eyebrow piece a something right now..
Note to self....Pay the professionals, that's what they are for.....
And no, there will be no Kodak moments to fully document my transformation. So don't even ask suckas....Don't even ask...

LOL...I would be sooo afraid to color my hair!
I used that Blonde shampoo once, just to see if it would bring out my natural blonde highlights....it did. It was weird. I had people asking me if I was dying my hair.
(by the way...most people in my church denomination think that dying your hair is wrong...I don't...but most do.)
Needless to say, I had to quit using that shampoo. LOL
Kendra,
well I have wondered about those shampoos..I wonder if it would work for me..heehee
jacks,
so your sayin you only died your hair once?..LIAR..haha..
I've done the Do-it-yourself hair color, thinking I was saving roughly $60 - yeah I spent that plus trying to get it to a liveable color... I pay the professionals.
fanstagirl,
lesson learned...although I am a semi professional..I did finish beauty school..does that count?..man that was 12 years a go...man I am old...
costs me bout 100 bucks to get it done, unless I want the wrath of fanstaic sams..heehee
I dye my own hair all the time and have never had a problem. But if I did have a bad turn out I wouldn't care very much cause when I am working I am wearing a hat anyway and well after work I can't just take it off cause of hat hair and all.
I had always wanted to try tanning but after your recent experiences I think I will pass. The pool heater will turn back on soon enough. I am sorry you look like a freak show though.
Well, I'm asking anyway. You can't tell us about this and then not show us. Well, I guess you can, but we'd sure like to see those eyebrows and two tone hair.
I colored my son's hair when he was in the fifth grade, and he looked like Woody Woodpecker. I haven't touched his hair since. He's a rocker though, so he can get away with just about anything.
I get my hair foil highlighted about every three or four months. I'm overdue for a cut & color right now.
haha! Maybe a pic might just confirm that it isn't so bad as the image one conjurs of a "two tone freaky eyebrow thing."
????
yeah I have dyed my hair a few times on my own, and I have never done horribly bad but if I can afford a professional I still go that route... mainly because I DON'T do highlights!
Ive been there and done that with the eyebrow fiascal lol.
Come on, now, you can't tell us all that and not show us a picture ... that's just not fair, not fair, I say !!!
I dye my own hair, about every 8 weeks or so, and (luckily !!)have never had a disaster ... I guess there is always a first time. I'm too stingy to spend $100(AUD)plus for a hairdresser to do it (I have a lot of hair!).
Come on, cough up that photo !!
Take care, Meow xx
Ah, come on!!! You can't do that to us!!! PICTURES!!! PICTURES!!! We all feel the need to see!!! We promise to laugh with you and not at you! Yeah, right!
sorry ladies..no can do on the photo, u just have to take my word for it.....
:)
C'mon, post a pic! We wanna see!! After my sister made my hair smoke (about 14 years ago), I won't let anyone touch my hair with at home products...lol Actually this is only the 2nd time I've had highlights put in cause I'm so paranoid.
I never do my own eyebrows! Too much pain and I'm a wuss. Have to let the professionals wax 'em away.
d,
well I am glad I am not the only one who has messsed up eyebrows..
the reason my roots are lighter is becuase that hair was much lighter than my ends becuase my blonde roots were about a half inch long..so the two tone starts where my roots end and the darker portion statrs..its a pretty lil mess:)
denise,
your hair was smoking...that aint a good sign...haha
your a wuss...it does hurt, but I like being nicley groomed..haha...boy I look good right now i tell u what;)
how can i say this gently. DON'T ATTEMPT TO LIGHTEN DARK HAIR YOURSELF. there i said it. spend the money, go get it properly weaved, i demand it!! your dang lucky it didn't come out gray or green.
i'm reading that its against the law in kendra lynn's church to dye your hair. i wonder how they feel about self medicating.
ps, i heard there was some sort of news report on ambien and they are saying, it is bad
susie,
well I know that lighting dark hair is hard..but with my know how and knowlege I thought I could do it...but I see my fruitile attempt has been for not...
ok what did you hear about ambien?..u need to let me in on it..i have been taking it for 5 years..on and off..give me the 411 please;)
Hey there~
Did you really go to beauty school? I did too.. it was a long time ago! but I finished..
I color my hair now @ home darker but sometimes go back to the salon when I want it lighter - I was thinking of doing the highlights myself but now you got me scared!
LOL!!!
michele,
yes I really did go..class of 95..heehee...
I never really tried lightening my own hair, I would alwyas do it a tad darker, but now I want my old hair back..but I can see I can not do it alone..why dont you come do it for me?..
;)
Okay, let me just say one thing before I comment on your post that made me laugh hysterical!
First of all, I have a HUGE fear of bees. This blog scares me. (hehe) I've always been scared of bees, and I am not allergic to my knowledge.......they creep me out as though they were cockroaches.
Okay. Moving on.
Your brows. I over-pluck all the fricken time. The main thing is, have yourself an eyebrow pencil handy at all times. You do not want to walk out of the house without an expression for the love of GOD!
God forbid I had to run out of the house in an emergency situation, I told my girlfriend that lives with me, "OMG! People will see me with no facial expressions! Grab my pencil! QUICK!" I'm a finatic with eyebrows. It's almost borderline obsession/fetish thingie.... eek, that sounds bad huh?
Hair color? That can always be fixed. Eyebrows? PENCIL! BRING THE DAMN PENCIL!
That stressed me out. I need my meds now.
{{hugs}}
Good luck!
P.S. My name is Debra...which means..."QUEEN BEE"....
I think that's why they all try to attack me.
You just inspired a post I'm going to write. Thanks. Oh and by the way, I love the set up of your blog! Great job!
deb,
your cracking me up here...
my brows are way beyond the help of a pencil..I feel like a gimp right now..I am in hiding..I will be wearing a bag over my head for apprx. 6 weeks..
dont let the bees scare you...I wont sting ya, i promise;)
C'mon - take a picture and SHARE... I promise I will post a terrible picture of me on my own blog if you show me this crazy transformation. C'MON!!!!!
That is not fair . . . I was totally going to ask for a picture. Can't we get just a little peek? Come on, please!
I hope it turns out okay and gets fixed - if that is possible. Hehehe!
Girl, if you didn't live so dang far, I would be there!!! LOL!
I can't do my eyebrows, I go to the nail shop & this sweet little chinese lady waxes them for me, I'm scared to pluck away! it's just a straight zip & I'm out of there.....
hang in there- I would love to see a picture too! :)
even though I know your not even going there...LOL
felcia,
um, NO WAY JOSE'....but you can post a pic of yourslef..haha
al,
no sneak peak, but I might post a pic of my ghetto hair tomorw.we will see;)
michelle,
well distance is no excuse, you get over here ASAP...
I might post a pic tommorw of ghetto hair I once sported last year..that might be good for a laugh;)
how about a pic of just your hair? can you get away with wearing a baseball cap, pulled way down, it hides alot.
BSTS,
well, my hair is pretty long, not sure it would fit under a cap..but its a good idea. I have been keeping it pulled up..it looks pretty bad when its down..
maybe I will do my hair..I have to think about it;)
And I was so going to ask for pictures.....I was always told that you can't get dark hair lighter once its dyed. it turns orange.
cori,
well madonna does it..hahahaha..
I should of never colored it brown..people pay big bucks for my color of blonde hair...damn it all
I once screwed up a home coloring job (that was suppose to be temporary) and turned my hair kelly green. I had hair down my back and it was just eight months before my wedding. I ended up having my hair totally stripped. The hair from my shoulders down was wasted and had to be cut off. Totally sucked. I will NEVER mess with my hair color again...EVER!
Hope your eyebrows grow back soon. :)
jaws,
I think I have a few grays too...it is really sad..sad I tell ya..
krystal,
wow, kelly green would not be a flattering color unless your a witch..
I hope my eyebrows hurry up and grow..I hate looking like a mess;)
People do pay big bucks for color like yours...like ME!
My origional color is dirty dishwater.
oh man, i was already starting to scroll down for the pics...haha.
cori,
and look what I have done..i wrecked it all for myslef, now I will have to pay big bucks for my hair;)
vani,
